About The Position

The District Attorney's Office is seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Director of the Family Justice Center. This role involves leading and developing programs that provide assistance to victims of violence. The position is open to all applicants, with a preference for current County of San Mateo employees who will receive bonus points on their examination score. The examination process includes an Application Screening and a Panel Interview, which may incorporate a writing exercise. Advancement through the process is not guaranteed for all applicants who meet minimum qualifications. All examinations and interviews will be held in San Mateo County, California, at the applicant's own expense, though interviews may be conducted virtually via MS Teams.

Requirements

• Completion of the County of San Mateo Employment Application Form.
• Responses to the Supplemental Questionnaire, including explaining how education, training, and experience prepare for success in the position, and describing experience developing and working in programs that provide assistance to victims of violence.
• Attach a Cover Letter expressing interest in the position.
• Attach a Resume.
• Current County of San Mateo employees must have at least six months (1040 hours) of continuous service in classified regular, probationary, extra-help, or limited term positions prior to the final filing date to receive examination score bonus points.
• Must successfully pass the Application Screening to move forward to the interview.
• Must successfully pass the interview to be placed on the hiring (eligible) list.
