About The Position

The Assistant Director of Sales represents the business in the marketplace and is the principal liaison and point of contact between the operations and the 3rd Party Distributors (OTA’s, STO’s, Wholesalers, PCO’s, Travel Agents). The Assistant Director of Sales takes responsibility for positioning the business and its services and offerings, in the marketplace with the intention of maximising occupancy at the highest possible rate. The Assistant Director of Sales assists the Commercial Manager with rate strategy and budgeting, and to create rate structures for the various properties under management. This role works closely with the relevant Department Teams to ensure a coordinated effort between Sales, Reservations, and the Operations to ensure that interested parties are conducted on comprehensive site surveys in the organisation’s properties. The role also ensures that 3rd Party Distributors, Consortia, OTA’s and PCA’s receive timely deliveries of up-to-date Service, Rate and Promotional/Campaign information for inclusion in their on-line and paper marketing materials. The Assistant Director of Sales attends trade shows and events to promote and sell the hotels and their services.

Requirements

  • Experience in the Long-Stay hotel environment.
  • Experience in the Marriott brand is a strong recommendation.
