About The Position

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division I and Big Ten Conference institution, is seeking an Assistant Director of Operations for the men’s basketball program. This position operates under the general supervision of the Head Coach and is a non-coaching role and will assist with the coordinating and managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the men’s basketball program.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree
3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted (if filled as Athletic Operations Specialist - Advanced Professional)
1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted (if filled as Athletic Operations Specialist - Intermediate Professional)
PA State Police Criminal Background Check
PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check
Valid driver’s license
Successful completion of a motor vehicle records check

Responsibilities

Assist with film breakdown and technology operations.
Assistant with the program budget in collaboration with the Head Coach.
Help coordinate team academic schedules and class accommodations.
Assist with the team equipment manager on team apparel, gear, and equipment needs.
Plan and coordinate camps and clinics.
Help coordinate visiting team logistics, including practice schedules, locker rooms, and additional needs.
Plan, coordinate, and execute year-round team operations and travel.
Assist with the organization and coordination of team community service initiatives.
Assistant with the logistics and organization for official and unofficial recruiting visits.
Assist with planning and execution of team events, including the team banquet, Senior Day, Alumni Day, and other special events.
Help manage Teamworks calendars for coaches and team operations.
