Assistant Director of Nursing (RN ADON)
About The Position
The Assistant Director of Nursing (RN ADON) is responsible for managing administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department. This role assists the Director of Nursing (DON) in the overall operation of the department, ensuring adherence to Company policies, standards of nursing practices, and government regulations to maintain quality care. The ideal candidate is highly detailed-oriented, organized, and possesses strong knowledge of policies and governmental regulations. This position offers an opportunity to support and train stakeholders in providing the best possible care to residents.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse in good standing with required current state license.
- Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience.
- Must have a current/active CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department.
- Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in overall operation of the department in accordance with Company policies, and standards of nursing practices and government regulations, so as to maintain quality care.
- Delegate to the Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to perform their assigned duties.
