About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) | RN role at South Hampton Rehabilitation and Health Care Center is a dual position with both ADON and MDS responsibilities. The ADON supports and carries out the administration and management of Nursing Services to residents, working in partnership with the Director of Nursing (DON) for 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services. This role directs the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care in accordance with Federal, State, and Company standards, guidelines, and regulations. In the absence of the DON, the ADON assumes responsibility for clinical operations. The position requires 20 hours for MDS responsibilities and 20 hours for ADON duties.

Requirements

• Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the state in which you are practicing.
• Must possess a thorough understanding of the Quality Indicator process, OBRA regulations, and Minimum Data Set.
• Knowledge of the care planning process required.
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school preferred.
• Prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting preferred.
• Two years of experience in a nurse supervisory role preferred.
• Prior MDS experience highly preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of Case-Mix, the Federal Medicare PPS process, and Medicaid reimbursement highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and carry out the administration and management of Nursing Services to residents in accordance with physician's orders and the total needs of the residents.
• Partner with the Director of Nursing (DON) to be responsible for the 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services.
• Direct the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care in accordance with current Federal, State and The Company standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Assume responsibility for clinical operations in the absence of the Director of Nursing (DON).
• Perform MDS responsibilities for 20 hours per week.
• Perform ADON duties for 20 hours per week.
