About The Position
Parker Jewish Institute is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Assistant Director of Nursing to join their team in the Nursing department. The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation is a non-profit health care facility located on the Queens-Nassau County border in New Hyde Park, New York. It offers inpatient programs including sub-acute/short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and nursing home care, as well as community health services such as certified home health care and a comprehensive community hospice program. The institute has a reputation for excellence and innovation in resident and patient care.
Requirements
- New York State RN license
- Degree in Nursing or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as an RN in a medical/surgical, rehab or long-term care environment
- Communicates effectively with others; is cooperative and helpful
Nice To Haves
- BSN a plus
- Prior Supervisory or Management experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated leadership ability; ability to lead teams and empower staff
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility of care given to the patients by the nursing staff.
- Providing leadership, staff support, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure that standards of quality care are achieved on a consistent basis.
