About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing to help lead nursing services in our vibrant senior living skilled nursing community. This role is ideal for an RN leader with strong clinical judgment, leadership presence, critical thinking skills, and a commitment to high-quality, resident-centered care. Working closely with the Director of Nursing and Clinical Leadership team, this position supports the vision and goals of the community and nursing department. The Registered Nurse Manager assists with daily clinical operations, helps develop and support nursing team members, and serves as the Director of Nursing in the Director’s absence. This leader maintains a regular presence on the floor, building strong relationships with residents, families, and team members while ensuring excellent care and accountability.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse in good standing in the state of operation, long-term care experience preferred.
  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • 1 – 3 years experience as an LPN/RN.
  • 1 – 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • 1 year of experience in educating and/or training adult learners.
  • Expertise in PPS, MDS, OBRA and OSHA requirements preferred.
  • Must be knowledgeable of state and federal laws and regulations for skilled nursing facility operation in the State of operation.
  • Administrative experience preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate competence in relevant technology.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead as a Neighborhood Manager and help build a strong, engaged nursing team
  • Support resident assessments and ensure timely, appropriate clinical interventions
  • Provide education, coaching, and development for nursing team members
  • Monitor quality indicators, care delivery, and compliance, implementing corrective action as needed
  • Identify safety concerns and support infection control efforts in partnership with the DON
  • Assist with admissions, staffing, hiring, performance management, and other clinical oversight responsibilities
  • Help coordinate educational programs in compliance with regulations and company policies
  • Support person-centered care initiatives, including Eden Alternative philosophy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of resident care and community goals
