About The Position

Elderwood at Grand Island is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON – RN) to join their facility leadership team. This role offers an opportunity to influence nursing practice, develop employees, strengthen quality outcomes, and ensure residents receive consistent, compassionate care. The ADON will partner closely with the Director of Nursing and Administrator to advance clinical priorities, support nursing employees, maintain survey readiness, and uphold regulatory standards. The role is supported by Elderwood Administrative Services, including the Chief Nursing Officer and a Regional Nurse Consultant, who provide guidance, share best practices, and assist with quality, regulatory readiness, clinical operations, and nursing leadership development. This structure allows for local leadership with the benefit of a larger clinical organization's resources. Elderwood is committed to developing future clinical leaders, offering advanced development experiences like Widener University’s Director of Nursing Leadership Academy for those with strong performance and leadership potential interested in future Director of Nursing opportunities. The academy covers communication, decision-making, team development, retention, financial fundamentals, strategic planning, and change management.
