Assistant Director of Nursing (RN ADON)
About The Position
The Assistant Director of Nursing (RN ADON) is a detailed-oriented, organized individual with great knowledge of policies and governmental regulations. This role supports and trains stakeholders to provide the best care possible to residents. The Assistant Director of Nursing will manage administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department and assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in the overall operation of the department in accordance with Company policies, standards of nursing practices, and government regulations to maintain quality care. The position also involves delegating administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability to Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse in good standing with required current state license.
- Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience.
- Must have a current/active CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department.
- Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in overall operation of the department in accordance with Company policies, and standards of nursing practices and government regulations, so as to maintain quality care.
- Delegate to the Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to perform their assigned duties.
