About The Position

Assists the Director of Nursing in coordination and oversight of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, Company policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Administrator, the Medical Director, and/or the Director of Nursing, to ensure that the highest quality care for residents is maintained at all times.

Requirements

  • Graduation from approved RN program required.
  • Must possess current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in California.
  • Must possess current valid CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years experience providing direct care to multiple patients/residents preferred
  • previous experience in Skilled Nursing environment required
  • previous supervisory experience required
  • Nursing degree from accredited college preferred

  • Supervises staff in the provision of day-to-day resident care using independent judgment and discretion.
  • Through oversight of clinical team assists in ensuring quality nursing care to all residents.
  • Supports and promotes the philosophy, objectives, and standards of the nursing department.
  • Assists Director in coordinating facility clinical interdisciplinary team and supervising the inter-disciplinary process.
  • Reviews facility change of condition report daily and supervises/coordinates nursing services and care plan interventions.
  • Reviews resident medical records as directed to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures corrective action has been completed on medical record audits and consultant reports.
