Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon.
- Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and patient care standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- The Assistant Director of Nursing utilizes strong leadership and communication skills daily to effectively manage nursing teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary staff.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential for addressing clinical challenges and improving patient care processes.
- Organizational skills are applied to manage staffing schedules, compliance documentation, and operational workflows efficiently.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and nursing best practices ensures that care delivery meets established standards and legal requirements.
- Proficiency with healthcare technology, such as electronic health records, supports accurate documentation and data-driven decision-making.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Five years experience in Nursing (preferably in an outpatient setting); two years of supervisory experience
- Current CPR certification
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare management software.
- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Supervise and support nursing staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate daily nursing operations to ensure efficient patient care delivery and optimal resource utilization.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and monitor individualized patient care plans.
- Manage staffing schedules to maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios and address staffing shortages promptly.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, patients, and families to address concerns and improve communication.
- Support the Director of Nursing in budgeting, reporting, and strategic planning activities.
