Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon.
  • Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and patient care standards.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • The Assistant Director of Nursing utilizes strong leadership and communication skills daily to effectively manage nursing teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary staff.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential for addressing clinical challenges and improving patient care processes.
  • Organizational skills are applied to manage staffing schedules, compliance documentation, and operational workflows efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Five years experience in Nursing (preferably in an outpatient setting); two years of supervisory experience
  • Current CPR certification
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare management software.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Supervise and support nursing staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
  • Coordinate daily nursing operations to ensure efficient patient care delivery and optimal resource utilization.
