Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
About The Position
Parker Jewish Institute is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join their team in the Nursing department. The ADON reports to the Clinical Director of Nursing and is responsible for the overall care given to patients by the nursing staff. This is a key leadership role, providing leadership, staff support, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure that standards of quality care are achieved consistently. The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation is a non-profit health care facility offering inpatient programs (sub-acute/short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, nursing home care) and community health services (certified home health care, comprehensive community hospice program).
Requirements
- New York State RN license
- Degree in Nursing or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as an RN in a medical/surgical, rehab or long-term care environment
- Communicates effectively with others; is cooperative and helpful
Nice To Haves
- BSN a plus
- Prior Supervisory or Management experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated leadership ability; ability to lead teams and empower staff
