About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plays a crucial role in supporting the Chief Clinical Officer in overseeing the clinical operations of our skilled nursing facility while ensuring high-quality care. Sunnyside Nursing and Post-Acute Care provides sub-acute nursing care, rehabilitation services, skilled nursing, and long-term care. Our compassionate staff offers individualized care plans for each resident to ensure personalized care is provided to all our patients with a goal to return home. Our team of qualified professionals provides compassionate care by maintaining high medical integrity, fostering a team spirit among staff, and creating friendly, beautiful surroundings for our residents and their visitors. Requirements

  • Current and active California Registered nurse license (BSN preferred)
  • Strong professional communication, relationship building, and organization skills
  • Three to five years nursing leadership experience; direct personnel management experience highly preferred
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to run with large conceptual ideas, operationalize projects, and direct appropriate staff
  • Knowledge of Point Click Care (PCC)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Employees must be vaccinated, unless a medical or religious accommodation is needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, organization, and implementation of nursing services in accordance with professional standards and regulations.
  • Supervise nursing staff including RNs, LVNs, and CNAs, ensuring adherence to care protocols.
  • Coordinate resident care activities with the healthcare team, enhancing interdisciplinary communication.
  • Assist in ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to staff training and development to promote effective nursing practices.
  • Support the Chief Clinical Officer in administrative functions and operational planning.
  • Support the clinical team to promote retention and job satisfaction.
  • Provide support the clinical team afterhours and over the weekend when necessary.
  • Responsible for hiring, progressive discipline, training, mentoring, and coaching staff.
