About The Position

Join the Trusted Nursing Team as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). At Trusted Nursing (a Ventana Ventures company), we are honored to care for individuals who served our country through work with the Department of Energy and developed illnesses related to radiation, beryllium, or silica exposure. These patients qualify for care under the Department of Labor’s Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA). We are accredited through the Joint Commission. Our mission is to provide compassionate, dependable, and personalized care that allows patients to remain safe and comfortable in their homes while receiving high-quality medical support. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to provide clinical leadership, nursing oversight, and operational support for our growing home health team. This role is ideal for a nurse leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while mentoring staff, ensuring compliance, and supporting quality outcomes across the organization. As an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with Trusted Nursing, you will play a key role in supervising clinical operations, supporting field staff, coordinating patient care, and helping maintain the highest standards of nursing excellence in a home health environment.

Requirements

  • Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of TN
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
  • Must pass a background check

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership, supervisory, charge nurse, or management experience preferred
  • Home health, hospice, case management, long-term care, or clinical nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare professionals
  • Experience coordinating care plans and supervising clinical staff preferred
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
  • Strong documentation and compliance management skills

Responsibilities

  • Providing clinical oversight and support to nursing staff, caregivers, and home health aides
  • Assisting with the supervision, training, mentoring, and performance management of clinical team members
  • Conducting patient assessments and reviewing care plans to ensure quality and compliance
  • Collaborating with physicians, case managers, families, and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient services
  • Monitoring patient outcomes and ensuring appropriate interventions are implemented
  • Assisting with scheduling, staffing coordination, and clinical workflow management
  • Ensuring compliance with Joint Commission standards, company policies, state regulations, HIPAA requirements, and EEOICPA guidelines
  • Reviewing nursing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
  • Supporting quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
  • Providing guidance and clinical direction during changes in patient condition or urgent situations
  • Participating in onboarding and ongoing education for clinical staff
  • Conducting supervisory visits and evaluating patient safety within the home environment
  • Supporting infection control standards and medication management practices
  • Maintaining strong communication between office staff, field clinicians, patients, and families
  • Assisting the Director of Nursing with day-to-day clinical operations and leadership responsibilities
