Join Elderwood at Hornell as an ADON - Assistant Director of Nursing, a role focused on providing personal and compassionate care in a supportive team environment. The ADON (RN) leads, supports, and ensures the health and well-being of residents by assisting the Director of Nursing (DON) with overall staffing, staff training and development, and management of personnel in the Nursing department. The ADON (RN) will assess residents, perform audit measures, and adhere to state, local, and federal regulations and best practices within their scope of practice. This individual also serves as the Infection Control Preventionist. They will assist the DON in directing and developing nursing activities and staff on all levels according to healthcare facility procedures and ensure the delivery of quality nursing services in a medical facility. The role involves developing, implementing, communicating, and interpreting nursing policies and procedures that align with the State Board of Nursing and State Nurse Practice Act requirements, facility philosophy, and operational policies, while maintaining compliance with other government agency laws and regulations. Communication and interpretation of policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitoring staff practices and implementation are key functions. A current RN license is required.
