About The Position

Brooksville Health Care Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our leadership team as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). This is an exceptional opportunity for a nurse leader who is passionate about clinical excellence, staff development, regulatory compliance, and delivering outstanding resident care. The ADON plays a critical role in supporting the Director of Nursing, mentoring nursing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of care throughout the facility. Requirements

  • Current Florida RN license in good standing
  • Previous Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of: CMS regulations, Survey process, Clinical documentation, Infection prevention, Quality Measures, QAPI

Nice To Haves

  • Previous ADON, Unit Manager, Nurse Supervisor, or DON experience
  • PointClickCare experience
  • Proven success in leading and developing nursing teams

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Nursing with daily clinical operations
  • Provide leadership and support to nursing staff across all shifts
  • Conduct rounds and monitor quality of resident care
  • Assist with staffing coordination and nursing department oversight
  • Support admissions, care planning, and clinical assessments
  • Maintain survey readiness and regulatory compliance
  • Monitor clinical documentation and nursing practices
  • Participate in audits, investigations, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Assist with infection prevention and risk management programs
  • Support Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities
  • Coach, mentor, and support nurses and CNAs
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation of new nursing staff
  • Participate in performance improvement and employee retention initiatives
  • Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture
  • Partner with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Assist with addressing clinical concerns and care needs
  • Support exceptional customer service and resident satisfaction
