About The Position
Ridgewood Terrace a Concord Health Systems facility is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to serve as the Infection Control Nurse. This role involves leading and managing the facility’s Infection Prevention and Control Program, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and teaching skills, with experience in long-term care or skilled nursing leadership and infection control.
Requirements
- RN license in good standing required
- Long‑term care or skilled nursing leadership experience
- Infection Control experience required
- Wound Care Certification
- Proven ability to lead, teach, and build confidence in nursing staff
Responsibilities
- Serve as Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and Infection Control Nurse
- Lead and manage the facility’s Infection Prevention and Control Program
- Supervise, mentor, and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Certified Medication Aides (CMAs)
- Demonstrate strong leadership and teaching skills to educate staff on infection control, wound care, and regulatory compliance
- Provide ongoing coaching, competency validation, and performance feedback to nursing staff
- Oversee wound care management, documentation, and treatment compliance
- Ensure adherence to CDC, CMS, and state regulations
- Conduct audits, surveillance, and staff education related to infection prevention
- Assist the DON with clinical oversight, survey readiness, and quality assurance initiatives
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning
