About The Position

HGV is seeking an Assistant Director of Guest Services to join the team at Elara Hilton Club. The company operates in the vacation ownership industry and emphasizes innovation, quality, and continued growth. The role combines front desk service and managerial administration, with responsibilities performed approximately 80% of the time at the Front Desk and 20% in managerial administration. The Assistant Director serves as Manager on Duty during evening hours and helps ensure continuous Front Desk coverage. The position requires a high school diploma, at least three years of hotel management experience, and at least two years of Night Audit experience.

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• 3–5 years of experience in a Front Office Manager position.
• 4 or more years of hotel management experience.
• Prior experience with a Voice system.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Manager on Duty during evening hours and ensure the Front Desk is always covered.
• Report maintenance needs to Engineering daily.
• Assist leadership with personnel functions, including performance management, counseling, scheduling, training, brand standard compliance, and recognition.
• Ensure VIP rooms are inspected before arrival, and greet and escort VIP guests to their rooms.
• Perform property walks with the General Manager and/or Director of Front Office.
• Coordinate maintenance weeks with Housekeeping, Engineering, and Front Office.
• Perform daily inventory and inspections of public areas and coordinate prompt responses to substandard conditions with the appropriate department.
• When a potential sellout exists, coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure vacant rooms are cleaned and ready for occupancy.
• Prioritize visits by outside contractors.
• Carry out reasonable requests from management that the employee is able to perform.
