About The Position
The Assistant Director of Finance (ADF) is one of two fully cross-trained, interchangeable senior staff level positions responsible for supporting the Director of Finance in managing all financial operations of a multi-program human-services agency with an employee population of approximately 270. The agency supports programs such as the Area Agency on Aging (AAA), Public Transit, and Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5+ years progressive accounting/finance experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit/governmental fund accounting
- Experience with grants management and multi-fund accounting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- High integrity and confidentiality
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Supervisory experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience in human services, healthcare, PACE, or public transit
- Experience with federal and state grant compliance
- CPA, CMA, or CGFM
