About The Position

This position supports the work of the Woodson YMCA, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, through hands-on and oversite of the maintenance and improvements of all branch facilities.

Requirements

Related work experience in Construction or a Mechanical Background.
CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required within 60 days of hire. (Company provided certification.)
Foster a positive team attitude and continued personal growth.
Valid driver’s license with a driving record approvable by our insurance company, and the ability to drive our vehicles and equipment.
Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
Critical thinking ability to anticipate risk, implications, and outcomes before acting.
Models relationship-building skills in all interactions with members, staff, and vendors.
Have a team-player mentality to complete any duties that arise.

Two or more years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides coordination of facility, grounds, and vehicle maintenance, including planning and developing preventative maintenance in connection with Sr. Facilities Director.
Anticipates risk, implications, and outcomes before acting.
Is hands-on with daily repairs and maintenance as a member of the maintenance team.
Completes repair work and projects in a timely manner.
Serves as a specialist with regards to all facility and grounds.
Maintains supply levels for all facility related supplies.
Ensures that safety and OSHA guidelines are being followed.
You will be part of a team of maintenance members that ensure the safety of work-related duties.
Performs other duties as assigned.
