About The Position

Nurtury is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Early Learning Centers to assist the Senior Director of Early Learning Centers in the operational oversight of Nurtury’s three early learning centers, with a special focus on the design, execution and coordination of quality improvement initiatives and training activities.

Requirements

• EEC Director II certified (required)
• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in EEC or related field
• Experienced with 5-7 years in early childhood program leadership
• Experienced in providing feedback to and coaching educators
• Knowledgeable about EEC licensing standards, NAEYC accreditation standards, and classroom observation tools such as CLASS and ITERS/ECCERS

Responsibilities

• Conduct observations and program/classroom assessments to improve or enhance educator skills and other activities in support of quality standards.
• Work in collaboration with the Senior Director of Professional Development, center-based Program Directors, and the Early Childhood Team to enhance program services, implement quality standards and best practices.
• Design and implement training for educators and administrators to continuously improve the quality of programs and the skills of educators.
• Manage projects which include but are not limited to: accreditation, licensing, and use of observational tools including Environmental Rating Scale (ERS).
• Provide operational coverage in the absence of the Program Director as needed.
