About The Position

The Assistant Director of Dining Services supports all aspects of restaurant, lounge, room service, minibar, and concierge lounge operations while delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving operational excellence. This leadership role partners closely with the Food & Beverage leadership team to oversee daily operations, maintain Marriott brand standards, develop associates, and achieve financial and service goals. The ideal candidate is passionate about luxury hospitality, team leadership, and creating memorable dining experiences in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations of restaurants, bars, room service, minibar, and concierge lounge outlets to ensure exceptional guest service and operational efficiency.
  • Lead, motivate, coach, and develop Food & Beverage associates and supervisors to maintain high performance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, food safety regulations, sanitation guidelines, and operational procedures.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and respond professionally to guest feedback, concerns, and service recovery opportunities.
  • Collaborate with culinary and operational teams to maintain quality food and beverage presentation and service execution.
  • Assist in managing labor costs, payroll, inventory, forecasting, and departmental expenses to achieve financial objectives.
  • Participate in budgeting and strategic planning initiatives to improve operational performance and profitability.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment that supports associate engagement and retention.
  • Observe service execution and provide real-time coaching and feedback to improve guest satisfaction and operational consistency.
  • Maintain strong communication with leadership teams and associates regarding operational priorities and business objectives.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and training efforts to build and retain high-performing teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, guest engagement, and revenue generation.
  • Ensure all dining outlets maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Serve as a role model for Marriott culture, professionalism, and service excellence.
