About The Position

The Assistant Director of Creative Content coordinates all creative content activities relevant to his/her assigned sports, including videography, photography, and graphic design. This person serves as the primary visual storyteller for coaches and student-athletes and works continually to promote the image of Richmond Athletics, using available data and analytics to guide content strategy and resource allocation.

Requirements

  • Possess athletic creative content experience, including photography, videography, and design, at the college or professional level.
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Working knowledge of Mac operating system
  • Working knowledge of video operation and editing software such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, AfterEffects, Lightroom, Photoshop).
  • Adherence to all applicable NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-3 years in college or professional athletic creative content.

Nice To Haves

  • A master’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary creative content contact for men’s basketball and at least two additional sports assigned by supervisor by directing graphic design, video production, photography, and social media operations. Sport assignments are subject to change.
  • Produce original recruiting materials highlighting assigned sports programs and what they offer prospective student-athletes.
  • Maintain organized, manageable visual archives (photo/video) for all assigned sports.
  • Promote additional Athletics Department initiatives, such as leadership curriculum, academic programs, and special events, through original videography, photography, and visual storytelling.
