The Assistant Director of Banquets supports the banquet operations to ensure the successful execution of all events. This role involves coordinating set-up requirements for all Banquet Event functions according to the banquet event order, communicating directly with group contacts, Catering Managers, and Conference Services Managers to ensure that all details of the function are carried out. The position also ensures the quality and timeliness of all food items, provides knowledge of wine and spirits, and maintains an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience. Additionally, the Assistant Director of Banquets controls operating expenses through effective budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control. This includes communicating with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met and attending regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
