About The Position

The Assistant Director of Admissions works with the Director of Admissions to administer admissions standards and achieve targets through a team of admissions representatives. This role participates in the implementation of student recruitment strategies and the management of resources to meet performance expectations. The Assistant Director provides ongoing coaching and motivation to admissions representatives to achieve objectives by providing tools that encourage individual and team development, as well as revenue and profit growth. This position handles all phases of the admissions process and is responsible for generating prospective student enrollments. Along with the Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director participates in the development and execution of both short-term and long-term student recruitment strategies at the Campus level. This role also organizes orientation seminars, open houses, and student award days. The Assistant Director carries out supervisory responsibilities which include planning, assigning, and directing work of subordinates; appraising their performances; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Mandatory attendance at semi-annual graduation is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in related field and minimum two years of Admissions or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Directly supervises employees in the Admissions Department and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Candidates must be able to successfully pass a criminal history check and drug test.
