About The Position

Bach to Rock (B2R), a leading music school in Long Island is looking for an Assistant Site Director for their Port Washington, NY location. The ideal applicant is an extroverted, enthusiastic sales-oriented leader that loves to tell customers about our services, naturally persuading them to purchase once you explain what we offer. Has strong interpersonal skills required to facilitate good working relationships with teaching staff and our customers -- both students and parents. Has managed a team of part-time workers including scheduling and day to day operations. Is very organized and can keep track of lots of administrative details, while multi-tasking. Has experience with basic accounting and bookkeeping procedures, money handling and change making. Can effectively manage time to balance administrative and marketing project work with prompt and reactive sales & customer service. Has a deep interest in music and music education. Knows how to operate basic office equipment, i.e. telephones, photocopiers and computers and is not intimidated to learn how to setup and operate musical equipment like PA's, amplifiers, keyboards, drums, etc. Loves working with computers (both mac and pc), already knows Microsoft Outlook (calendar and email), Word, Excel and has the ability to learn to use B2R's specialized point of sale systems. Email marketing experience a plus. Has the ability to be physically present at the facility during its hours of operation, including some nights, weekends and holidays. We are a fast growing chain of music schools for students of all ages. B2R's unique method is based on the knowledge that students learn best when they join together to play the music they like the most. That's why we use special arrangements of the music of our time and combine individual lessons with band or group instruction. Weekly lessons lead to our twice-annual Battles of the Bands or Music Showcase and recording sessions in B2R Studios, our own professional, on-site pro recording facilities. B2R also holds regularly scheduled public concerts that encourage students to become seasoned performers. These creative group activities foster teamwork, build self-esteem and motivate students to perfect their musicianship through independent practice.
