The Assistant Director of the Learning Commons provides leadership and operational support for academic support services within the Learning Commons, primarily overseeing peer tutoring, writing assistance, and academic coaching. This role also aids Student Accessibility Services by helping coordinate and implement student accommodations and plays a part in early intervention and retention efforts through Lion’s Alert. Working closely with the Director, the Assistant Director supervises peer tutors and writing tutors, leads academic workshops, and collaborates with campus partners to ensure high-quality, student-centered academic support. This role plays a key part in advancing Learning Commons initiatives that promote student persistence, retention, and academic success.
