About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is seeking an Assistant Director, Housing Operations & Outreach to help shape the residential experience for thousands of students. As a key member of the Residential Life, Housing, and Food Services management team, this role will lead the customer-facing operations of campus housing, from residence hall front desks to the main housing office. The position will set the tone for hospitality and service excellence, oversee outreach initiatives and housing tours, and serve as the expert for the systems and software supporting front desk operations. This is a hands-on leadership role involving training and empowering staff, ensuring secure data management, and directly influencing students' interactions with Housing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of related work experience OR Master’s Degree and one (1) year of related work experience
  • Related Experience: Student housing administration or comparable higher education experience or related.
  • Maintains full-time office hours to include evening/weekend hours for programs and training.
  • May be asked to travel to regional and national conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the customer-facing operations of campus housing, including residence hall front desks and the main housing office.
