Temple University's Institutional Advancement Department is searching for an Assistant Director, Gift and Record Administration! This position reports to the Director of Gift and Record Administration and oversees daily operations, including task distribution, training, and support for Gift and Record Specialists. The Assistant Director will perform hands-on tasks such as daily reconciliation with Finance, gift adjustments, generating tax receipts, establishing solicitation codes, and alerting the Director to transactions outside established policies. This role also serves as a backup for daily gift processing and handles gifts during high-volume periods. Additionally, the Assistant Director supports the Director's strategic goals for quality gift and data processing and strengthened controls, providing guidance to specialists as delegated. The position requires problem-solving skills for reconciling items and verifying departmental transactions. The Assistant Director will interact directly with donors, IA staff, leadership, and institutional donors to resolve issues and will assume the Director's responsibilities in their absence. This role is integral to supporting Temple University's $1.5 billion comprehensive campaign, including the implementation of a new CRM.
