About The Position

The Assistant Director, Financial Operations and Procurement, within Campus Services & Stewardship (CSS), leads financial operations across CSS. This role oversees the buy-to-pay (B2P) lifecycle and payroll coordination in a complex, decentralized environment. The position ensures accurate, compliant, and efficient execution of high-volume financial transactions, while strengthening internal controls and aligning operations with Institute policies and funding requirements. The role involves designing, standardizing, and continuously improving financial workflows, with a focus on scalability, data integrity, and operational effectiveness. It also supports ERP implementation. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines operational oversight, process design, and team management to strengthen the effectiveness and sustainability of CSS financial operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • A minimum of ten years of progressive experience in financial operations, procurement, payroll coordination, or high-volume transactional environments.
  • Strong understanding of procure-to-pay processes, payroll operations, and financial workflows.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Coupa or similar) and process implementation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, document, and improve end-to-end financial processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work across functions.
