About The Position

Kingswood campers explore Cranbrook's 319-acre campus of playing fields, woods, rivers, lakes, and gardens. They participate in a full schedule that includes swimming, music, sports, drama, arts, yoga, dance, science, nature, archery, canoeing, and tennis. These opportunities provide time for growth and emphasize cooperative team efforts. Field trips and events add to our camp experience. Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Education or a related field
  • Management and childcare experience
  • Superior problem-solving and management skills
  • Ability to effectively relate to campers, staff, and parents

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in any of these areas: Camp Administration, Camp Program experience, Child Development, or Performance Development.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, manage, and evaluate staff
  • Meet budget requirements
  • Purchase supplies
  • Setup and breakdown camp spaces
  • Develop and operate program
  • Act as main contact for parents regarding all aspects of the camp other than financials
  • Maintain accreditation and licensing standards and rules
  • Create and maintain policies for program
