About The Position

The Assistant Director for the Center for Jewish Civilization (CJC) at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service (SFS) is responsible for the operational, financial, and curricular management of the CJC. This role involves collaborating with the Center Director on strategic planning, developing new programmatic initiatives, and assisting with fundraising and advancement efforts. The position is designated as Hybrid, with regular reviews of work mode designations to meet evolving university needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of related program administration and budget management experience, preferably in higher education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • A commitment to outstanding customer service is essential.
  • Must develop proficiency in the Workday Financials system.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operational, financial and curricular management of the CJC.
  • Works with the Center Director in strategic planning, new programmatic initiative development, fundraising and advancement.
  • Supervises the CJC Program Manager.
  • Responsible for management of CJC faculty, staff and students.
  • Partners with SFS Advancement in developing fundraising materials for external use.
  • Produces timely stewardship for all gifts made to the CJC.
  • Assists the Director of the CJC and SFS Advancement in preparing for CJC-related Advancement meetings and projects when requested.
  • Responsible for relations with other departments within the University and external partners.
