About The Position

The Assistant Director will perform a wide range of applicant recruitment and evaluation activities in furtherance of the College of Law’s enrollment goals, while contributing to the development and execution of data-informed recruitment and admissions strategies that align with the college’s priorities. Conceptualize, plan, and execute/host on-campus and virtual internal recruitment events in coordination with College of Law events team; represent UF Law at off-campus and virtual recruiting events nationwide, including LSAC Forums, college fairs, panel discussions, and private visits. Present and analyze data related to recruitment outcomes to inform a data-driven recruitment plan and provide recommendations regarding future event strategy, including event selection and format to ensure continuous growth and relevance in the recruitment sector of higher education.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.

  • 2 years of experience in law school or undergraduate admissions, student affairs or a related field
  • Knowledge of UF and UF Law
  • Master's or JD degree
  • Experience with Unite, ACES2, and/or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software such as Slate
  • Strengths in public speaking, hospitality, and event planning

Responsibilities

  • Lead J.D. recruiting activities, including communication and meeting with prospective students to cultivate interest in UF Law and answer questions about the application process.
  • Stay abreast of all current law school programs, offerings, achievements, rankings, and related information.
  • Coordinate and provide ongoing oversight of all aspects of the College of Law’s Levin Ambassadors program, including strategic decisions related to ambassador utilization, event staffing, and overall program effectiveness.
  • Interview applicants and make admissions recommendations informed by college’s short-term and long-term mission and enrollment goals, based on established parameters.
  • Act as support for admitted student yield efforts, including providing input on enhancements to improve engagement and attendance at events.
  • Manage and direct other administrative and clerical tasks as necessary.
  • Assist with other duties as needed, including duties throughout the entire law school campus, demonstrating initiative in support of team and the college’s mission.
