About The Position

The Assistant Director, ACT 2 is a member of the administrative team responsible for directing the recovery-oriented treatment of clients who are members of Envision Unlimited’s mental health program. This role is responsible for providing clinical oversight of client treatment, reviewing and signing off on IM-CANs, and providing direct supervision and training, including technical assistance, to mental health staff responsible for providing ACT services. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.
  • Clinically licensed (LCSW/LCPC/LMFT).
  • 3+ years’ experience in the social service field.
  • At least 1 year in a mental health program.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Comfort working within an agency setting serving clients with MI/DD.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory/managerial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in decision making on an administrative level in conjunction with the Director of Crisis Services.
  • Maintaining compliance with DHS, CARF, and other government regulations regarding the ACT Program.
  • Assisting with further program development, as well as the development of policies and procedures, program planning, implementation, and evaluation of the ACT program to ensure quality, recovery-oriented services are provided to all clients in the program.
  • Maintaining Key Performance Indicators for ACT services.
  • Designing individual and group training opportunities for staff based on program needs and identified professional development needs for staff.
  • Providing direct supervision and training to mental health staff responsible for providing clinical, crisis and ACT services, while maintaining supervision logs for each staff member, carrying out progressive disciplinary action with assigned staff if/when needed.
  • Assisting with interviewing, hiring, and coordinating, and/or directly training, new staff.
  • Proving direct supervision and training to direct service staff on ACT Team; Documentation on coaching logs required for each staff member; Document and provide disciplinary action as needed, up to and including termination.
  • Attending weekly supervisions with Director of Crisis Services and meetings as requested, participating in committees and client events as needed, and collaborating on marketing and outreach efforts.
  • Managing referrals and intakes, conducting screenings and completing IM-CANs for all new clients who meet program criteria, ensuring pre-authorizations are met before clients receive ACT services.
  • Providing and documenting crisis interventions and additional risk assessments, as needed, and completing incident reports when appropriate within a 24hr period.
  • Ensuring all services provided are in accordance with client’s individual treatment plan.
  • Entering, maintaining, and updating client information in Envision Unlimited’s Electronic Health Record (Quantum), including face sheets, treatment plans, and diagnoses as needed.
  • Managing referrals, admissions, and discharges.
  • Providing oversight to staff engaging in discharge planning with SOF.
  • Assisting staff with managing clients at times of high volume.
  • Entering, maintaining, and updating client information in Envision Unlimited’s Electronic Health Record (Quantum), including face sheets, treatment plans, and diagnoses.
  • Attending scheduled clinical meetings including group supervisions, clinical and other staff team meetings.
