The Assistant Director will oversee daily program operations, ensuring alignment with COMPASS standards, contractual obligations, and organizational goals. This role involves designing, implementing, and monitoring program schedules, curricula, and enrichment activities to meet participant needs and funder requirements. The Assistant Director will establish a safe, structured, and engaging environment for all participants, and design a recruitment and retention strategy to ensure the program meets contractual enrollment and ROP targets. The position also includes leading recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of program staff, conducting ongoing staff supervision, evaluations, and professional development, and ensuring staff adherence to child safety, mandated reporting, and confidentiality policies. Additionally, the role involves managing program performance to comply with funder expectations and oversight agency regulations, maintaining accurate records, monitoring program outcomes, and managing the programmatic budget. The Assistant Director will also serve as the primary liaison with school personnel, families, and community partners.
