About The Position

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Dining Services for its Life Plan Community, Westminster St. Augustine, located in the World Golf Village. This role assists the Dining Services Director in managing the quality dining program for residents, staff, and guests, overseeing the services component across all dining areas. The Assistant Director may also act as the interim Dining Service Director in the Director's absence or during a vacancy.

Requirements

• Certified Dietary Manager or College Degree in related subject required.
• 5 Years similar experience in a high volume, hospitality oriented and customer service focused environment.
• Must be ServSafe certified or have the ability to become certified within 90 days of date of hire.
• Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with data-base types of menu systems for menu forecasting, menu building and recipe creation.
• Supervisory Leadership
• Ability to hold effective meetings.
• Ability to learn computer programs as defined by Westminster Communities of Florida.
• Ability to work as a member of the dining services management team.
• Finger Dexterity, Grasping, Reaching, Standing, Sitting, Lifting (up to 50 lbs.), Bending, Walking, Hearing, Speaking, Seeing, Manual Dexterity, Tasting, Smelling
• Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress of this position

Responsibilities

• Assume the responsibilities of the Department Director in his/her absence.
• Scheduling staff and organizing the dept to meet daily dietary needs.
• Ensures proper equipment operation and that preventive maintenance are met.
• Schedule training and In-service compliance as needed (IE. 5 Star Server training and ServSafe certification).
• Supervises purchasing functions and inventories.
• Implement, oversee and document sanitation guidelines for all dining services venues.
• Oversee daily dining service meals to ensure an overall quality resident experience.
