About The Position

Les Stanford Buick GMC is seeking to hire new talent to join their team as a Service Advisor. This family-owned and operated dealership, established in 1968, emphasizes selecting and developing top employees and offers higher than industry-standard pay. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing the entire customer experience, from initial write-up to final delivery. This role requires more than just opening repair orders; it involves consistent communication, confident presentation of needed repairs, close collaboration with technicians and parts departments, and ensuring customers are informed about their vehicle's status.

Requirements

  • Previous automotive Service Advisor experience preferred
  • Familiarity with dealership management and digital inspection systems
  • Reynolds and Reynolds, Xtime experience - preferred
  • Buick, GMC, Chevrolet, Cadillac, or other dealership experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to explain repairs without pressuring or confusing customers
  • Comfortable presenting maintenance and repair recommendations
  • Organized and able to manage multiple active repair orders
  • Dependable, professional, and accountable
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and accurately document their concerns
  • Perform a professional vehicle walk-around
  • Prepare repair orders and obtain proper customer authorization
  • Present maintenance and repair recommendations clearly and confidently
  • Provide customers with proactive, consistent status updates
  • Review technician findings, digital inspections, photos, and videos
  • Coordinate repairs with technicians, dispatch, and the parts department
  • Set realistic expectations regarding repair timing and parts availability
  • Follow up on declined work and outstanding customer decisions
  • Ensure repair orders are complete and properly documented
  • Review completed repairs and charges before vehicle delivery
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and take ownership of their resolution
  • Maintain strong CSI and customer-retention results
