Requirements
- Certification in accordance with regulatory agencies governing the nursing center.
- Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls and presentation.
- Must be ServSafe certified.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the quality of food served within the nursing center and for patient/family satisfaction.
- Assists in providing technical guidance and administrative direction over food planning, menu, and serving of meals, and in the oversight and training of staff.
- Investigates trends and developments in dietary practices and techniques and evaluates their adaptability to dietary programs.
- Adheres to all sanitary and food safety regulations governing handling and serving of food.
- Monitors meal preparation and ensures meals are served on schedule.
- Manages the tray line/meal distribution to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Develops, revises, and adapts work techniques and methods for more efficient operation.
