About The Position

Dreamwear is a leading wholesale intimate apparel and sleepwear company working with brands such as Juicy Couture, Laura Ashley, Danskin and Nicole Miller. The Design team is responsible for establishing the trends, color, and style direction for our seasonal and customer-driven lines. The team develops product concepts and presentations for both internal teams and customer meetings, and once orders are placed, works closely with cross-functional partners to manage the sample development and production process. Our Kids team is growing and we are looking for a new Assistant Designer to join the team! This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about kids fashion, has a keen eye for prints & trends, and is excited to work across multiple brands in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple projects and priorities. Strong Illustrator and Photoshop skills are essential.

Requirements

Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.
Previous internship or other relevant industry experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Illustrator & Photoshop is required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Positive, collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Passion for fashion and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with the development of seasonal and customer-driven Kids collections across multiple brands.
Research seasonal trends, colors, prints, and silhouettes to support the development of new collections.
Work with senior team members on print, artwork, and color selection.
Assist with flat sketching and maintain organized fabric, trim, and color libraries.
Execute production-ready print and graphic artwork, ensuring artwork is accurately sized and prepared for production.
Create organized and accurate technical development packages, including construction details, sketches, fabrications, trims, prints, and color specifications.
Prepare and send tech packs, sample requests, production artwork, and color standards.
Communicate with overseas factories regarding product development and production needs.
Track and follow up on sample development, fabric sourcing, and related deliverables.
Partner with Design and cross-functional teams to ensure projects remain organized and on schedule.
