About The Position

Foodland Super Market, Hawaii’s largest locally owned grocery retailer is hiring Assistant Deli Managers to join the team! Assistant Deli Managers are responsible for performing all the duties and job functions of an experienced Deli Clerk. They must follow approved procedures for receiving products, price marking, and restocking cases to ensure quality protection, accuracy, and product rotation. They must follow all inventory control procedures to maximize product freshness, quality, turnover, and availability for maximum sales. They will assist customers and will properly merchandise products in display cases and price correctly according to company standards. Assistant Deli Managers will assume the responsibility of Deli Manager in their absence.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 70 pounds
• Must pass physical test
• Must have at least 1 year experience in deli department operations
• Must have TB Clearance

Responsibilities

• Performing all the duties and job functions of an experienced Deli Clerk.
• Following approved procedures for receiving products, price marking, and restocking cases to ensure quality protection, accuracy, and product rotation.
• Following all inventory control procedures to maximize product freshness, quality, turnover, and availability for maximum sales.
• Assisting customers.
• Properly merchandising products in display cases and pricing correctly according to company standards.
• Assuming the responsibility of Deli Manager in their absence.
