About The Position

The Assistant Dean, University Advising role requires a Master's degree and at least two years of experience in advising, counseling, or related fields within a higher education setting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in promoting student development programs and fostering positive relationships. Strong interpersonal, human relations, teaching/presenting, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to think critically and strategically. Proficiency in quantitative and analytical skills is also required.

Requirements

• Master’s degree required
• At least two or more years of experience in advising, counseling, or in related fields in a higher education setting or equivalent combination of education and experience
• An established record of accomplishment promoting student development programs and building positive relationships
• Excellent interpersonal, human relations, teaching/presenting and problem-solving skills
• A collaborative disposition and posses the ability to think both critically and strategically
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Nice To Haves

• 2-3 years advising, counselor or comparable experience
• Experience with data systems, such as Ellucian Banner and EAB /Navigate, and Degree Works
