The role involves greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving concerns promptly and professionally. It focuses on continuous improvement in all areas of the department and assists the Customer Experience Manager in overseeing all aspects of front-end operations. The Assistant Customer Experience Manager may perform the duties of the Customer Experience Manager in their absence and may assume complete responsibility for total store operations in the absence of store management. This role also enforces cash handling control and security measures, follows company policies, and adheres to all state laws and regulations related to compliance, sales, and accuracy. Oversees bookkeeping procedures and assists Customer Experience Associates with various tasks. Conducts unannounced audits on cashiers and assists store management in onboarding new associates. The role involves training to provide a fast, friendly, accurate, and efficient checkout experience, implementing new programs, recognizing and rewarding associate performance, and participating in annual performance reviews. It utilizes the Learning Management System (LMS) and auto-scheduler system to manage associate schedules and labor goals. The position controls supply costs, directs customer flow, ensures sufficient checkouts are open, monitors breaks and lunches, and oversees lot attendant services. The Assistant Customer Experience Manager operates front-end equipment, performs checkout procedures, answers phone calls, uses the intercom, maintains equipment functionality, and communicates information about promotions and sales. They generate sales through suggestive selling, attend daily huddles, and maintain knowledge of weekly ads and store layout. The role oversees safety and sanitation of the parking lot, entrance/exit, and checkout area, keeping areas clean and clear of carts. It is responsible for general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and guidelines. The position ensures smooth department and store function through cooperation and continuous improvement. May assist with baling cardboard, receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries if properly trained. Responsible for the utilization of all company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). May also be called upon to assist in other departments.
