About The Position

The Assistant Custodial Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all Kennewick School District (KSD) events while protecting and maintaining the condition of district facilities. This role serves as the district’s facilities scheduler and main point of contact for school and community use of stadiums, fields, and related spaces. Additional responsibilities include managing and communicating the schedule for all external facility and field usage across KSD, and providing leadership, direction, and supervision to the district’s evening custodial staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must present transcripts of highest level of education within thirty (30) days of hire.
  • Must have valid Washington State driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to meet the Physical Demands of the position as indicated by taking and passing a physical capacity exam after job offer and before employment begins.
  • Must pass a basic skills test.
  • Completion of Safe Schools Web Based Training within thirty (30) days of hire and yearly thereafter.
  • Must pass a background check, which includes employee paid fingerprinting.

  • Must demonstrate strong computer literacy along with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Must demonstrate ability to use and operate all technology use in the stadium.
  • Background knowledge of auditorium/stadium management.
  • Possess positive interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to present a positive image for the school district and be willing to follow district policies and procedures.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends
  • Positive recommendations and performance evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Kennewick school district evening custodians.
  • Provide training to evening custodial staff on cleaning standards.
  • Schedule all events in Lampson stadium and other facilities district wide.
  • Process and submit charges for use of facilities.
  • Assist with the set up and maintenance of sound systems and assure that all equipment is in event-ready condition.
  • Supervise set up and take downs for special events.
  • Coordinate the cleaning of the stadium.
  • Maintain supplies needed for the stadium.
  • Act as District on-site representative during school and community use of facilities, as necessary.
  • Work cooperatively with community, students, teachers and administrators.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
