About The Position

Seeks justice with professionalism, excellence and pride, consistent with the New Hampshire Rules of Professional Conduct, American Bar Association and National District Attorney’s Association guidelines, as a criminal prosecutor in the Superior Court.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from accredited law school
  • Must be admitted into the New Hampshire Bar Association
  • Mandatory post offer physical and drug testing for new hire
  • Criminal records check required

Responsibilities

  • Acting as a counsel for the State of New Hampshire in criminal matters
  • Researches pertinent case law
  • Drafts indictments, complaints & pleadings
  • Presents investigations and cases to the Grand Jury
  • Conducts Bench trials, Jury trials, and all required hearings related to their assigned caseload
  • Maintains a collaborative working relationship with victim/witness coordinators to ensure that all victims and witnesses are properly informed, prepared, and supported through the prosecution process
  • Collaborates with police, members of the public, and court staff
