About The Position

The Athletics Department at Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Coordinator of Olympic Sports Equipment in Boca Raton, FL. The Assistant Coordinator of Olympic Sports Equipment provides operational support for Olympic sports equipment management within Athletics, assisting with the ordering, inventory control, distribution, and maintenance of equipment and apparel. Ensures student‑athletes are properly outfitted for practices and competitions while maintaining compliance with NCAA, conference, and university policies.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the head of Olympic Sports Equipment with the overall operation of the Olympic sports equipment room, which involves the ordering, tracking, and receiving of equipment and apparel for all Olympic sports as assigned.
  • Responsible for checking equipment out to athletes at the beginning of the year and receiving the equipment back from the athletes at the conclusion of the year.
  • Maintain a running inventory of the items distributed to and collected from each athlete and coach.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and reconditioning of all equipment for their respective sports.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all athletes have their necessary apparel and equipment for practices, home competitions, and away competitions, which includes collecting, cleaning, and redistributing laundry for each team.
  • Responsible for using prior knowledge to understand and follow the rules and regulations of the NCAA, AAC, and University Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the head of Olympic Sports Equipment.
