Under the general supervision of the Director, the Assistant Coordinator, Learning Resource Center assists with the coordination of day-to-day operations of the Learning Resource Center's Student Assistant/Success Navigator Program in support of student success initiatives. The incumbent assists with delivering equitable academic support services, strengthening campus-wide referral networks, and promoting student access to tutoring and academic resources.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job-related field.
  • One year of experience in professional Student Services work at the entry trainee level.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, coordinators, and campus partners.
  • Ability to facilitate student assistant training and workshops.
  • Ability to develop clear training and resource materials.
  • Ability to support equitable access to tutoring, academic support, and student success services.
  • Knowledge of administrative processes related to student employment, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, payroll documentation, meeting coordination, and day-to-day program operations.
  • Ability to organize multiple activities accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ability to use EAB Navigate and related reporting tools to train users, compile and prepare student service data, track participation and resource utilization, respond to student alerts, and provide timely information regarding tutoring, academic support, and available campus resources.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

  • A Master's degree in a job-related field may be substituted for the required experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Director and Coordinators with coordinating student assistant activities in support of tutoring and academic support services.
  • Facilitates the Student Assistant/Success Navigator training program in support of the CSUN Roadmap to Future Priorities (Academic Excellence, Holistic Student Success, and Community Engagement).
  • Assists with coordination of the recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and day-to-day work activities of Student Assistants under the direction of the Director.
  • Responds to EAB Navigate alerts by conducting outreach and providing students with information regarding tutoring, academic support, and available campus resources.
  • Assists with coordination of student assistant payroll processes and related employment documentation in accordance with established campus procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
