Assistant Coordinator - Adult IDD Day Services
About The Position
GoodLife Innovations is seeking an Assistant Day Services Coordinator to support our Day Services program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities! As the Assistant Day Services Coordinator, you will help manage Day Services operations to provide a safe and meaningful experience for the clients we serve. You will lead center-based and community-based activities, train and support Day Services teachers, and assist with administrative and management duties. Your days will be spent in our Day Center and out in the community to model and teach staff to provide high-quality services.
Requirements
- Must have a valid Driver's License and safe driving record
- Must successfully pass criminal background check
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Desire to lead and mentor a team of staff
- Must be able to physically support clients with and without adaptive equipment
Nice To Haves
- Prior teaching, caregiving, or direct support experience preferred
- A heart for this field and teaching persons with disabilities
Responsibilities
- Participate in direct services with a caseload of persons served
- Lead activity classes in arts and crafts, exercise, cooking, and more!
- Model and teach staff to provide high-quality day services
- Provide new hire training, substitute orientations, and ongoing training and support to staff
- Ensure program is fully stocked with materials needed for activities
- Assist in administrative and management duties
