This position will be responsible for completion of the following items in addition to those listed in the Job Description (see attached). It is vital to the Summer Food Service Program that all employees have reliable attendance; preferably no more than four missed days, other than for CCS contracts, during the program. Repeatedly lift and/or otherwise move cases, pans of food, and other materials. Pack food properly for transportation to area schools, meal sites, and assist with deliveries. Assist in serving students by following USDA guidelines and ensuring that their needs are recognized and acknowledged. Operate kitchen equipment, mechanical dishwasher, and other equipment as needed. Ability to complete 6 hours of training annually as required by the USDA. Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Must hold a valid food handler’s permit issued by the Spokane County Health District. Must provide proof of immunization against Hepatitis A. Required to have a valid First Aid card including CPR and training for HIV/AID procedures.
