This role helps analyze overhead, occupancy and indirect costs. This position also works closely with other department heads to review and explain questions related to department budget reports.

Requirements

BA in accounting or finance preferred.
Proficient with Excel, Word, accounting software, web research and email
Communicate in a clear, friendly, professional and proactive manner
Ability to multi-task, follow through and meet deadlines
Strong leadership, management and people skills
Strong analytical and creative problem solving abilities

Responsibilities

Assist Controller in ensuring that necessary controls are in place to maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial information.
Assist Controller in numerous duties including budget analysis, and budgets & performance tracking.
Develop, maintain and improve internal accounting systems to include create/ revise related policies and procedures.
Ability to produce quality correspondence, spreadsheets, reports and presentations .
Research and analysis skills for financial and operating data, including planning and implementation of selected solutions
Review Accounts Payable including resident banking.
Review and prepare financial statements and reports, ensure timely and accurate reporting, compliance with appropriate accounting methods
Mentor and assist accounting staff
Review and approve payroll
Act as back-up for key activities of Controller
