About The Position

Support the controller in the management of the site finance team and the achievement of the organizational goals. This role is a successor role to the controller. As a trusted and valued business partner, the Assistant Controller will provide guidance and support on performance, identifying and mitigating risks, while maintaining transparency, open communication, and engagement. The role involves challenging the status quo, identifying areas for improvement, and understanding the financial impact of these changes. The Assistant Controller will analyze and understand business profitability, prepare forecasts, focus on predictability, and review performance versus expectations, demonstrating creative approaches to financial challenges. They will understand sector and site strategy, financial goals, and objectives, and support efforts to deliver these objectives and goals. A key aspect of the role is to develop a high-performing team, providing regular feedback, and focusing on mentoring, personal and career development, succession planning, and career mapping. The leader will be responsible for exemplifying and holding their team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values, evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 or more years of related experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel is required.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration and teamwork skills are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
  • Experience with or expertise in financial systems is strongly preferred.
  • Data storytelling and converting data into insights are strongly preferred.
